Datenschutz (Privacy Policy)

Last updated: 2026-05-23

1. Overview

LeadLeak processes your Gmail data to identify stalled sales conversations and draft follow-up emails. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under GDPR.

2. Data We Process

  • Gmail thread metadata (sender, recipient, subject, timestamps)
  • Gmail message content (last 90 days)
  • Your account information (name, email address, password hash)
  • Scan results and thread classifications generated by LeadLeak

We do not process attachments, contacts, or any data outside your Gmail inbox.

3. Legal Basis

Processing is based on GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) — Legitimate Interest: you have a legitimate interest in recovering revenue from stalled business conversations in your own inbox. Processing is limited to what is necessary for this purpose.

For account management, processing is based on GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) — Contract Performance.

4. AI Processing

LeadLeak uses AI as a drafting assistance tool. AI analyzes your email threads to suggest follow-up messages. All suggestions require your explicit approval before any action is taken. No emails are sent on your behalf. AI output is never used as a final decision without human review.

Your email data is not used to train AI models. It is processed only to generate your scan results.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Google Gmail API — Read-only OAuth access to your Gmail inbox. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • OpenAI — Email content is sent to OpenAI's API for classification and draft generation. OpenAI's data processing terms apply.
  • Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe's Privacy Policy governs payment data.

6. Data Retention

Scan results and thread classifications are retained while your account is active. You may delete all your data at any time from account settings. Gmail access tokens are deleted immediately upon disconnection.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

  • Art. 15 — Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
  • Art. 16 — Rectification: Correct inaccurate data.
  • Art. 17 — Erasure: Request deletion of all your data.
  • Art. 20 — Portability: Export your data in machine-readable format.
  • Art. 21 — Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
